Membership Awards

Annual awards are presented to our membership to acknowledge their contributions and recognize excellence in the Central Service Profession. The nomination form is available by clicking on the respective link below. See who has won these awards.


Bill Dennis Memorial Merit Award

The most prestigious award presented annually to a member of the Association who has demonstrated Outstanding Merit and Contributions to the Association and the Central Service Profession. This award was renamed in 2003 in memory of William B. Dennis who had served as a member of the NCAHCSP Board, President-elect and President. Bill was the director of Central Service at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. Bill was the President-elect of the ASHCSP at the time of his passing. He was nationally recognized as a leader in the field of health care Central Service and was an active member of both NCAHCSP and ASHCSP.


Manning / Stanley Technician Achievement Award

Ray Manning Sr. was a founder and President of Southeastern Hospital Supply in Fayetteville, NC who had been instrumental in establishing the NCAHCSP. Presented also in recognition of his unfailing support of our Association. This award was first presented in 1986 as the Ray Manning Sr. Achievement Award.

Joe Stanley was a member of the Board of Directors for the NCAHCSP who passed away during his term of office. This award was first presented in 1995 as the Joe Stanley Memorial Award.

In 2013 the two awards were combined to create the Manning / Stanley Technician Achievement Award.

NCAHCSP members may receive this award one time only.

Prior recipients of Ray Manning Sr. Achievement Award are ineligible to receive this award.

NCAHCSP BOD are ineligible to receive this award.

The recipient of this award will receive the following:

  1. Award winner will be recognized during NCAHCSP Annual Meeting Award Ceremony
  2. Recipient will receive an engraved plaque
  3. Current year NCAHCSP Annual Meeting registration paid
  4. Hotel lodging expenses paid to accept Technician Achievement Award

Louise Rahilly Education Award

This award is in honor of Louise Rahilly, RN, a founding member of the North Carolina Association of Hospital Central Service Professionals, who continues to serve as a member of the Board. Louise was designated as a Board Member Emeritus in recognition of her status as a Founding Member of our Association, her longstanding dedication to the NCAHCSP and her dedication to the education of all Central Service Professionals, Louise retired from Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

NCAHCSP members may receive this award one time only.

Recipients of the Manning/ Stanley Technician Achievement Award are ineligible to receive this award.

Recipients of the Diane Fink Outstanding Leadership Award are ineligible to receive this award.

NCAHCSP BOD are ineligible to receive this award.

The recipient of this award will receive the following:

  1. Award winner will be recognized during NCAHCSP Annual Meeting Award Ceremony.
  2. Recipient will receive an engraved plaque

Diane Fink Outstanding Leadership Award

This award is in honor of Diane Fink, RN, ASCP, a long standing member of the North Carolina Association of Hospital Central Service Professionals. Diane had served as President-elect, President and Past President while a member of the Association. Diane retired from Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast in March of 2010. US Medical Industries approached the board about the possibility of creating an award in her honor. Diane had been the Manager of the Sterile Processing and Medical Equipment Department of the CMC - Northeast for 20 years. The award, sponsored by US Medical Industries, is chosen by the Board of Directors and presented to a member who has shown outstanding leadership in the Central Service Profession. This award will be given annually to recognize an outstanding individual for their efforts and contributions to the Central Service Profession.

Mary Jo Perkins Memorial Vendor Award

This award is in memory of Mary Jo, a long standing member of the North Carolina Association of Hospital Central Service Professionals (founded in 1969), who had served as a member of the Board, President-elect, President and most recently as our Treasurer while a member of the Association. Jo passed away while in office a few years ago. Several vendors approached the board about the possibility of creating an award in her honor. Since she had been so involved with the Vendor Show, we determined the award should be vendor based. The award, sponsored by Bailey and Bonnie Cobb, is chosen by the Board of Directors to a vendor who has shown outstanding support of the organization over the years. This support can be financial, educational, and moral support. This award will be given annually to recognize those vendors for their support and contributions to the NCAHCSP and is recognized by presentation of an engraved plaque to the recipient.
